Denver, CO (PRWEB) October 28, 2011

At the annual SPE conference, in Denver, CO, Dynamic Graphics, Inc. (DGI) will be offering a preview of a new well planning tool that will be available soon as an option to the popular CoViz 4D software. The new Integrated Well Designer allows geoscientists and engineers to plan well paths using CoViz 4D?s superior visualization environment. The Integrated Well Designer can be used to create drillable wells within the context of the asset teams? geologic, seismic, and other 3D and 4D reservoir data.

?This tool significantly improves the process of well planning by allowing users to design wellpaths within the complete context of their data. This is in sharp contrast to the traditional method of simply handing off a series of exported locations to a professional well planner who might not know the nuances of the reservoir. Our expectation is that this will increase planning efficiency and reduce costs in all phases of field maturity,? said Art Paradis, President of Dynamic Graphics.

Demonstrations of the Integrated Well Designer and other new features of CoViz 4D will be available at the Dynamic Graphics booth (#2140) at the SPE ATCE in Denver, CO, 30 October – 2 November, 2011.

About CoViz 4D

CoViz 4D leads the industry in providing dynamic quantitative analysis for reservoir management. Understanding the changing response of a reservoir over time is critical for optimizing production and development decisions. CoViz 4D makes it possible for users to simultaneously view and interrogate multi-disciplinary datasets from throughout the asset development team?regardless of the original data source. Understanding through data fusion?powerful in 3D?increases significantly when used in 4D: the unique temporal functionality in CoViz 4D allows users to visualize how development decisions affect their reservoir.
